Eaglerise College, a learning institution run by the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe, continues to strengthen its reputation for academic excellence and holistic education in Glen Norah.

Established in 2012, the college has steadily grown into a respected secondary school serving the local community. The institution currently has an enrolment of 226 students and operates under the leadership of Headmaster Mr T Muvhunzi.

Strong Academic Performance

Eaglerise College holds full examination centre status for both Ordinary Level and Advanced Level examinations, a milestone that has enhanced its credibility within the education sector.

According to the school leadership, the institution has recorded consistent positive results at Advanced Level for more than three consecutive years. This sustained performance highlights the dedication of both teachers and learners in maintaining high academic standards.

Holistic Student Development

Beyond academic achievement, Eaglerise College has also excelled in sports, public speaking and various co-curricular activities. These programmes play a vital role in nurturing confidence, leadership and teamwork among students.

School authorities note that these activities are designed to complement classroom learning and help develop well-rounded individuals prepared for future responsibilities.

Improving the Learning Environment

As part of ongoing development efforts, the college recently undertook infrastructure improvements that included painting and tiling of classroom blocks. The renovations have improved the appearance of the school while creating a more comfortable and conducive environment for learning.

Challenges and Future Plans

Despite its progress, the school continues to face several challenges, particularly in the area of technological infrastructure. The institution currently lacks sufficient Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resources as well as a backup power facility.

However, the school leadership is actively working to address these challenges as part of its development strategy.

Plans are also underway to establish a science laboratory and a computer laboratory in the future. These facilities are expected to enhance practical learning and strengthen the teaching of science and technology subjects.

Looking Ahead

With a strong academic record, active participation in extracurricular activities and a commitment to continuous development, Eaglerise College in Glen Norah remains focused on expanding its facilities and improving educational opportunities for its students.

School leaders believe that with continued support and investment, the institution will further grow into a centre of excellence within the AFM in Zimbabwe education system.
