CHIREDZI, 23 September 2026 — The Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe National Education Department has donated key O-Level textbooks worth over US$900 to Eagle Faith Secondary School in Chiredzi, a move teachers and learners say will lay a strong foundation for academic excellence.

Mr Sadza, the department's Education Accountant, handed over the books on behalf of the department on 23 September 2026.

AFM in Zimbabwe Education Department Director, Dr Clever Gomba, said the donation marks an important step forward.

"The donation is a strategic positive milestone in making learning materials accessible to learners, and it will go a long way in making Eagle Faith Secondary a learning place of first choice," he said.

The donation includes core O-Level titles required by every learner in Zimbabwe: Step Ahead in Maths, A Practical Approach to Agriculture, Focus on Geography, Gona Chishona, A Practical Approach to Combined Science, Computer Science Book 1 and Book 2, and A Practical Approach to Principles of Accounting, among others.

Dr Gomba confirmed the value of the donation, noting it represents a significant investment in the school's resources.

Established in January 2021, Eagle Faith Secondary School has continued to grow, and teachers and learners welcomed the donation, saying reliable access to key textbooks will help build a strong, sustainable foundation for academic performance.

The donation is expected to ease pressure on both staff and students ahead of the learning process.
